God's beauty is everywhere.

My Jamo found this little nest just outside our front door. The babies did not eat for 3 days, we did give them some water with a syringe. Thank God the mama came back because they started calling for her. We had already contacted the wildlife reserve folks, but it all worked out.

These beauties I found all around our local metal  dump. I'm not use to this good fertile soil, thing just grow everywhere. I have a feeling that when I'm ready to garden I won't be doing much soil amending.

2017 Spring Home Garden Tour, southern Alabama.

This beautiful and elegant garden belongs to Martha and Les Moreland. The Moreland Family Garden began as a labor of love for Les' mother years ago, a tradition he and Martha are proud to carry forward. The back yard oasis features a large koi and goldfish pond with fountains, pergola and a bridge over a creek bed. This family was very gracious and welcomed us to view the gardens from inside the house, through a gorgeous picture window. They also took the time to print a hand out with a brief explanation and names of all the plant specimens in their property, OMG this will be so helpful for me. Thank you! Gardeners are the nicest people and southern gardeners.......what else can I say.

Small country town charm, loving it.

What a cute little town is Hartford, Alabama, population 2624. I just can't get over how such a small town finds the budget to landscape. Every single inch of garden space in the town square is simply gorgeous. A graceful fountain surrounded by Rose bushes and blooming Crepe Myrtle line the brick path to the City Hall building.
While searching for vintage metal treasure the girls took me through new streets and we discovered   the cutest  little storybook cottages, talk about taking the scenic route home.

In memory of many, in honor of all. Thank you!

Art prompt cards.

Forgot to post these pictures here on my blog. I'm in love with this awesome idea of the art prompt cards, I found the idea on Pinterest. I can't wait to challenge myself with them. I think these would make great gifts for my artsy friends, maybe I' ll create more once I can get to my art supplies.
That won't be for a while now, we'll be here in temporary housing for 5 months still.
I think I'm going to give myself a couple more weeks and then start actually looking for our forever home, where we're planning to retire in.  We have been driving around getting familiar with our new town and we love it here. It's a small country town with just one of everything, beautiful surroundings, no traffic and nicest southern folks you can imagine. We feel so blessed and so sure that we did the right move for our family, once again God's timing is perfect. But that doesn't mean  that I don't miss my sisters and the kiddos back in Miami. I'm so happy our mom is here with us for a few months, she loves it here too and she's having a blast with my sister China. These two just click and I love to see them together, specially in the kitchen, lol.
