Working in the garden, my favorite thing to do.

So far so good, I've been right on schedule with my garden work. I had a wonderful day today, all I did was played with dirty, lol. This is my beautiful Castor Bean plant. She only blooms once a year, and so worth the wait. Will have pictures soon of our vegetable garden. I don't have a lot of space for it, but I did the best I could.

More shabby flowers.

Had totally forgot to post these sweet shabby flowers. I want to make some in red for Valentines day. I can't believe that I have Valentine on my mind. It seams like time just flies by for me latently. Well I'm not going to question it, just going with the flow.
I'm challenging my self to work and use what I already have. I always start the year that way and by March I'm buying new supplies. These I created with scarp pieces of laces, trims and fabrics and some how it all seams to blend and work. I think they will make great little gifts or maybe to embellish a package , or even on a card.

Prime gardening weather in South Florida.

Now that the Christmas holidays are all behind and everything is put away, yay for me. I want to concentrate on our garden, I so enjoy garden work. Just me, my plants and my thoughts.  This is the best time of year to be in Miami. Our weather is a blessing, cool days and cooler nights. Today I spend the entire day working on  our back yard. Cleaning things up a bit and trying to cut back some of our huge Areca palms. I actually got a lot accomplished and I'll share it latter. But now for some pretty pictures.
I heard my neighbor working on her back yard so I went for a visit, camera in hand of course. Her teenage son is going all organic and has started an organic garden area with recyclable containers and materials. He's picking up some horse manure and is letting me have some, best fertilizer ever, can't wait. He also let me have 2 containers of lettuces, that I'm so looking forward to planting tomorrow. They're doing an amazing job, it's going to look great.

These are her Orchids,  full bloomed in January, amazing.
